WASHINGTON, June 15, 2026 – On May 11, 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) filed an administrative complaint against Brandon D. Paul d/b/a Paul’s Cattle Company of Cambria, Wis., for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards Act (P&S Act).
A USDA investigation revealed between March 28, 2024, and March 11, 2025, Paul’s Cattle Company engaged in the business of buying and selling in commerce without obtaining or maintaining an adequate bond or bond equivalent. The investigation also revealed that from November 2024 to February 2025, Paul’s Cattle Company failed to pay for $165,316 for 146 head of livestock, in violation of the P&S Act. In March 2025, dealer trust claims totaling $63,619 were filed against Paul’s Cattle Company. As of the date of the complaint, the claims remain unpaid.
The Secretary of Agriculture has authority to act against violators, including issuing orders to cease and desist, suspending registrations, and applying other appropriate remedies as authorized by the P&S Act.
