WASHINGTON, D.C., June 15, 2026 – On April 22, 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) filed a complaint against Dwight and Kimberly Martin of Falcon, Mo., for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards (P&S) Act.
A USDA investigation revealed between Sept. 13, 2023, and Feb. 14, 2024, Dwight and Kimberly Martin engaged in the business of a dealer, buying and selling livestock in commerce, without maintaining an adequate bond or bond equivalent, in violation of the P&S Act. Every market agency, packer and dealer must execute and maintain a bond applicable to the activity or activities in which the entity engages.
The Secretary of Agriculture has authority to take action against violators, including issuing cease and desist orders, suspending registrations, and imposing other remedies authorized by the P&S Act.
